After whacking up the numbers for FF with a few votes (and checking to see if there's any more info on YF dates/tix) I see NME are now taking votes for track of the decade... Once I've gone through the voting and got to Franz I'll post the direct link. This could take a wee while so here goes... EDIT: ok after going through The Killers, Girls Aloud, Oasis et al, the link is www.nme.com/rate/tracksofthedecade/15get clicking my darlings ;D

Maybe start it in the music forum, Are we gonna do tracks and albums or just albums?
I do like a lot of stuff from this decade, be it cheese, guilty pleasures or classics... this decade has shaped me in many ways and I spose it's one to remember easily. However I do love a lot of music from late 50's onwards

haha yes exactly - mainly as it seems to depend on my mood and stuff I don't even think I could be held to a favourite song of a particular decade

apart from franz and libertines and cribs and *coughs* kaisers it´s been not the best of the decades.... i think polls are generally a bit strange...no one ever is satisfied and NME´s are wank in anyway..

Was Employment even a choice btw? I never noticed cos that's deffo among my top 10 albums of the noughties yep i really enjoyed it when it came out and although it´s a bit blur-y it´still great on it´s own.... i think the kaisers might be too mainstream now for the NME......they are so original...

. Let em get on with their boho hipsters and their glowsitcks and 5 minute wonders. i actually got very bored reading the NME always hyping some shitty only-we-know-them-bands ...oh and oasis. and the monkeys. back when franz released their debut they´ve been up their arses....now they mention them every now and then...=P
