Alex really really really needs to sing Bowie's "Let's Spend the Night Together." I can totally see him pulling that one off. And I just want to hear him say "let's make - love. let's make - love" followed by searing guitar!

I was just thinking about that myself the other day...actually there are a lot of other Bowie songs I wouldn't mind Alex singing How about China Girl for starters? In terms of songs that remind me of Alex... Rebel Rebel (Bowie again) has been reminding me of him a lot lately, just in terms of imagery in the lyrics. Sympathy For The Devil (Guns N' Roses' version) for just the sexy and slightly evil side ot it

Absolutely album by Madness. Alex revealed that it was the first record he bought with record tokens back in 1980. It's always been my personal favourite. It has a lot of short songs, mainly they bounce along fairly up tempo and that reminds me of his boundless energy.
Ghost Town reminds me more of Nick. On my Radio by the Selecter reminds me of Alex also

Everyday I love You Less and Less Funny you mentioned it, because I'm going through a similar situation. I've been a huge Keane fan for five years or so and used to love Tom Chaplin, but this passion has been dying in the last months, whereas I'm becoming a big Franz fan, although I've always loved them. But now that this happening I can't help but feeling a bit sad that you love Alex 'less and less'. You sure have your reasons and I'm not questioning them, but still it saddens me. (Is that ok to talk about here?)

But now that this happening I can't help but feeling a bit sad that you love Alex 'less and less'. You sure have your reasons and I'm not questioning them, but still it saddens me. (Is that ok to talk about here?) It saddens me, believe it! All the time and money but its not even about that- its more disappointment. Alex isn't the same Alex I fell for in 2004, not just looks wise ( I fucking loved his style back then ) but his attitude. He's not influential or inspirational anymore. Or maybe I've just moved on. But the way he's gone back on himself about various things. I'm hoping whenever they release some new material it'll rekindle that "spark" or I'll still feel the same way about him. It'll either go in one way or the other- I can't just be a "casual" fan. I'm not made that way. If I don't love him anymore then I'd rather hate him than merely feel meh about him. I'm perverse like that.ignore it I'm a twat I can totally understand your point, although I can't really either agree or disagree, as I don't know him as much as you do. And no, you're not a twat. All the best!
