I'm on my Grunge-y days. Don't blame. We all know the story. And we know the characters. Beautiful songs that always make me feel different things. In fact there was no one as them, poor fuckers imitators of Nirvana, they suck. I can say that my favourite songs by them are Lithium, In Bloom and Heart-Shaped Box. About a Girl enters in my life biography thanks to a special someone who turned me into his "easy friend" and the "one with an ear to lend" that was the first song I ever played on guitar.

One of my favourite all time bands, got into them really fucking late though oh the shame (about 2000) so was a revelation to me. I was just in awe ( still am) and had my hardcore obsessive Nirvana phase (lived in ripped jeans, RIP KURT tees, dyed my peroxide hair a rainbow of dodgy colours, mourned on Kurt's birthday and played In Utero and Incesticide religiously) I was deeply in love with Kurt in a respectful way my room was a shrine to him (yes Bex, many years before Kapranos) with massive posters, related objects and "orchids" running along walls near the ceiling. He could be the most beautiful man to ever breathe. I love frail delicate and sensitive men. But unlike most Kurt lovers I also idolised Courtney and could identify with her on certain levels but I loved her perverse "corrupted glamour" style and she was an influence on my appearance at the time (smeared lipstick, baby dolls, Hello Kitty accessories etc) A strong (but vulnerable) opinionated woman with a soaring IQ formerly leading a rock band (Hole which I also love) the media and people of "the industry" (ie MEN) can't handle that so its easier to beat her down. The women just hate her for being an "ugly" whore or whatever but she deserves more credit for her lyrics and her fucking beautifully twisted poetry, food/ sex metaphors, deep hurt, black romance, morbid joy and ffs tea and cake perversion. What do you make of Courtney, Marie? Put against the wall. I'm such a loser when it comes to that. I was raised under the belief of "Courtney killed Kurt", and it was really hard to take that idea out of my head, I had my Nirvana period when I was like 11, I had nothing on my brain (still I have nothing, but the dust that is on where humans have brain is a bit more perverted and corrupted than when I was 11) I lived on my first ripped Levi's, listened to Bleach everyday and I thought I'd never listen anything else but Nirvana, my mother hated that period of my life. I researched about Kurt when I got a bit older and understood that Courtney wasn't that bad, eventually I started discovering her as an artist. As for the physical parameters. I don't consider her beautiful, nor ugly. Remember that beauty is on the eyes of the one who sees it. Kurt yes, was a beautiful man, he saved my life in many times. About a Girl kept a wee part of my existance on very very hard times. Kurt Cobain is one of the most creative persons ever. Not only a great artist but an outstanding musician, a proof of that is that you can play every single Nirvana song in an acoustic set and it will sound good (whether you play it well or not that's another thing) due to the magnificent instrumental arrangement.

I read this topic today and it's funny, Kurt Cobain is on twitter's trending topics...guess for what? Robert Pattinson is reportedly playing the Nirvana frontman in a forthcoming biographical film (April 9).
...I'm sorry

Last night I watched Nirvana Live at Reading on Fuse - not sure if you guys get that in the UK. It might be on the Fuse website or at least clips of it... Then of course right after that, they aired a new interview with Courtney - man, I honestly think she's back on the drugs. Talk about the most awkward interview ever - I felt bad for the dude talking to her.
