i´d never have took tom smith instead. looks at bowman >_> (like the editors tho, no question) but oh well.... i´m at an age where i haven´t got much patience with stereotypically rawkstar behaviour. i appreciate his approach to the whole thing.

I saw White Lies at NME (same as Lauz) but they only did one song. They were fab in Rome, enjoyed them very much... and yeah, Harry the lead singer was turning heads in Italy lol
I'd love to see Elbow again - I saw them in 2001 at Brixton by pure chance and they were something like 4th/5th on the bill.

My memory isn't that reliable so I'll search for it. They did nearly all from The Seldom Seen Kid, and Leaders Of The Free World, a couple from the debut but none from the second album as far as I remember. edit: found it Main Set 1.Starlings 2.Bones of You 3.Mirrorball 4.Leaders of the Free World 5.The Stops 6.The Fix 7.Mexican Stand-Off 8.Bitten by the Tailfly 9.Grounds for Divorce 10.Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver 11.Scattered Black & Whites 12.Forget Myself 13.Newborn Encore 1.Station Approach 2.Some Riot 3.Weather to Fly 4.One Day Like This review here www.themusicfix.co.uk/content/gig-review/7116/elbow.html@ Lauz: Sorry to come out so late. A week after nearly. I am probably seeing Elbow as a supporting act with U2 (if some certain Air/Darkel don't cross with it). And the setlist has really convinced me. A lot. I've seen many videos and my take on Elbow is that they are one of the best bands around. Such a manly voice. A GREAT guitarist who actually knows how to make it with a slide. A great visual spectacle. One of the most worthwhile acts far as I know and far as people told me. I am deffo seeing Elbow with U2. Hope they bring them because if Bon-oh! brings the bloody Kings Of Leon I'm throwing a few bottles to them (again). ;D

Awww, *feels envy* ^^ I'd love to see Kasabian live so hard.. Unfortunately they come in cities too far from me! :/
Anyway, in a week I'm going to see White Lies for my third time!! This one will be more intimate 'cause it's not a festival or an opening concert.. Yaaay!! ^^

Wow Lauz, that's a brilliant write up on what sounded like a really interesting and fun evening. Looking forward to seeing your pics. It's good to hear that fame hasn't gone to Hookys head unlike a lot of less famous (and deserving) types. What was Howard Marks reading from over the backing tape? He's indeed a proper character and Mr Nice is one of the best autobiographies I've ever read

I must add that I'm proud to say that for me Joy Division isn't Ian Curtis himself (alone, with backing musicians), of course, there were three very talented musicians. With an amazing musical capacity. Peter Hook is the best one of all of them. As I've said. Bernard Sumner & Stephen Morris dared to form "Bad Lieutenant" (tell me, is it any good?) trying to live up to their former fame. Peter Hook looks at the past with a lot of love and respect. But he's not living from it. He innovates. He creates. He is always new.
And that's what the audience loves.
