Thanks Laura, I'm really pleased with it - I did some research beforehand and I found the perfect settings for flash free gig pics ;D
Well I asked Owen in Sheffield about it and he said that they would be home in December. Then next year he said they'd start writing new songs for album 5. He said there'd be no Festival gigs - he was about 98% sure about it - as they'd done so many this year. He said that Alexis and Joe wanted to spend time with their kids (Joe became a dad in the summer) which I said I can't blame em for. He didn't say for deffo no smaller gigs; and said there may be a few DJ sets here and there. I'm addicted, I wanna see them again!!!

Mhh, that doesn't sound promising for seeing them too soon Can you tell me what your perfect settings are, please? I mostly take flash free pics during gigs, some turn out very well and some really bad, depending on the stage lights, but maybe your setting will improve all my pics in the future

I know... I was a bit disappointed but at least they're gonna be working on new stuff, and they're consistent - they've released an album every 2 years since Coming on Strong came out. But Alexis said they cant stop doing what they love, which made me smile. And I can understand about the kids though - Joe's baby is in the video for the I Feel Bonnie vid Well I used manual and then adjusted the aperture and exposure times - I'll have to post them up when I get hold of my camera but it's a bit like radiography - a quicker exposure time means less chance for movement. However that means less light coming in to the lens so pics are darker. With Owen I had to try and find a compromise seeing as the bugger moves round like mad. I also keep it mainly set to ISO 800 so pics aren't as grainy.

So in the last 10 hours I have learned that the Pixies are coming here in April and playing Doolittle in its entirety, freaked out, freaked out some more, went online, learned the presale was today, freaked out yet again, then figured out how to buy presale tix and got two of them. HOLY FUCKING SHIT! I cannot wait!

Ah haha...thanks Yeah, I listened to Bone Machine today and went, "Did they play that?" Nope... oh well - when Broken Face came on, the place went ballistic - I forgot all about moshing - apparently some people still do it.
