I've never gotten to talk to anyone who's met him before, so please ramble on. What about the other times you met him? He seems so friendly in all the videos that people have posted meeting him. I think he has a good repor with his fans. One time I saw a guy in a grocery store that reminded me of him, and even though I knew it wasn't Alex, I couldn't even get "hi" to come out of my mouth when He smiled at me. Can't imagine what a retard I would be if I met the real him! I Would love to hear about your other experiences. How many times have you met him?

I'd seen that interview before but it was fun seeing it again. I think it's funny how Alex was scratching his head and it caused his hair to stand straight up...haha.

uh...he's civil at all times but the last occasion I talked with him he was a bit off- whether he was tired or felt obliged to come out I don't know. I had a carrier of greek delicacies for him, my mate told him the previous night that i had stuff for him, anyway he bought Paul and Bob along. I had a pic and he looked pissed off and then I went to kiss him thank you and he drew back and I felt like some leper so I've never really forgave him that tbh. All the other times he was lovely, chatty, genuinely interested in what I had to say and we hugged, I stroked his hand etc. I gave him some drawings in Heaven club he liked that. But he had changed over those months. So 4 out of the five times I'd met him he was alright. Oh, wow. I'd have been hurt by that reaction too! Sounds like he had a case of male PMS or someting. When Franz came to my city on the last tour, our local radio statio does this thing called kegs and eggs. It's a free acoustic set at 6 am with free breakfast. Anyway, Franz did it, but I didn't get to go. My boyfriend talked to one of the DJ's that was there because he sorta knows him and he said Alex was sort of.............well, kind of a prick to him! but I have al ways thought that it was completely a stupid 'jealous of the rock star' guy thing to say, and never believed it. But maybe he really is a little moody. But then again how cordial can you expect him to be at 6 am, after doin a show the night before and having to do another one that night.

I love how you describe Paul. I also love that you appreciate that quality in people because most people misread any type of nervousness. It should be seen as a compliment. I'm probably not making sense.......sorry. Wow, Alex is THAT thin?! Quick! Feed him some cake!

During this hiatus I miss Nick and Paul the most... they are such lovely blokes to talk to; very different from each other mind, but I have very happy memories of the last time I saw them as a band in Antwerp and the pair of them chatting to us after.

Thanks to a tweet I saw from Helen, I learned Paul played with the Vaccines at T In The Park over the weekend. I know it's not strictly Franz but, well it's a Franzie and ooh does he look good or what

I officially give up looking for the blackmail video. I've even scoured my magazine articles. Maybe I shouldn't drink so much, as this is not the first time that I remember something that didn't happen, although this is infinately less embarssing.

Whats Bob like to speak to ? Cos i ache to meet him but i think because he's shy he'd either come across as really shy or a bit rude even. I'm just wondering what to expect when i fineally get to meet him. I'm sorry if this post is strange, i've been to the dentist today. I know what i mean anyway lol

I'm just wondering what to expect when i fineally get to meet him. I'm sorry if this post is strange, i've been to the dentist today. I know what i mean anyway lol xx Bob is lovely, but as Lauz says he can come across as stand offish to those that meet him for the first time. I try and talk to him when I can, particularly after he had remarked quite sadly to some fans in the US i think it was, that everyone always seems to want to talk to Nick and Alex and since then I have made even more effort to say hi to him. Bob definitely becomes more approachable when he gets to "know" you, it's really rather sweet. My fave Bob memories : Rotterdam 2008 - we were staying in the same hotel as the band and in the morning decided to wander down to the venue after checking in. as we were walking down the road we were chatting when I looked up to see a man in a hat walking up towards us about 100 yards away. as he got closer he started manically waving with both hands and I was like "who the fuck...?!" until we got closer and I was like "Aww it's Bob!" he had his earphones in and proceeded to stop us for a chat about all sorts, including Heaven and we were all laughing at his "um it's somewhere near Trafalger Square/I'm gonna get lost cos of Bob" convo. It was so nice to see him with no other fans around/him more relaxed plus the bonus being HE had stopped US. then when he walked down with Nick and Alex later he was like "hi again!" and then after the gig he came over to us again and I had to be all like "Bob stop stalking us!!!" heh heh nah he was sweet, posed for a couple of pics and compared shoes with J as they both had red felty shoes/boots on and just chatted about the gig (they let us stay for the after party) Then a couple of days later on the Monday, the band were doing a surprise gig and had put us on the guest list as a thank you for following them around. as we were waiting in the queue to give our names, Bob and Parker turned up and Bob was like "oh hi girls, you recovered from the tour yet?" and we both pulled like really sleepy faces/made snoring noises and he chuckled and said "nah me neither..." such a sweetie. All I can advise you when it comes to meeting Bob is be yourself. He really seems to attract mental cases and I've seen first hand how he reacts to that and on more than one occasion. he's northern so what you see is what you get and he's not backward in coming forward tbh. but I love that honestness, same goes for Al from HC. You'll be fine... just ask him some random things and see him smile

No i'm very grateful for the info, he sounds lovely but it's strange to think that someone in the public eye would be shy, yet most actors and stand ups are painfully shy. I wouldn't be mentle with him cos he is a normal bloke after all. I think i'd just seem really out of breath *^-^* xx
