Deacy's best bass line? www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKEqY8LERmcSeriously, I stuck this on a ghetto blaster in Dixons in Solihull town centre when I was about 11 and turned it RIGHT UP. Brilliant lol EDIT: Time is such a cruel mistress, and he's only a year older than my Mom and Dad... Deacy and Portugese fans in 2005 I'm more well versed with rhythm section musos but singers wise off the top of mah heed : Freddie Mercury Morrissey John Lennon Michael Stipe (love the haunting nature of his voice in many songs) David Bowie Neil Finn I dunno, all ones repeated before I know but I guess everyone is kind of in agreement more when it comes to singers - they're more obvious I spose

lol bass solo how many others spring to mind?! Of JD's? Ummm let me see... the one in Liar is fucking epic!! Yeah ok, so you can't have a bass solo as such but the man could make that guitar stand out like a flashers mac. Then there's headlong and Breakthru'... Deacy was ameezing. And Alex's voice... aah yes. Mmmm ;D

Well the last anyone heard of Mr Deacon was a couple of years ago when he had an affair and as per it was all over the tabloids but yeah, he had two young kiddies fairly early on in his Queen career. 6 though?! facking hell lol As J would say "he knows where to stick it" It's a shame such a talent has disappeared but Freddie's death totally devastated him (much more than anyone I think would come to realise) and I don't think he ever got over it.

So much for our double posting rule Queen are a band that I've been into since 1991 and I wanted to be Roger really badly lol Maybe that's where the root of my drumming passion comes from - I used to have a pair of sunglasses like Rogers and I used to 'play' along with the songs and one day my Mom came in during a particularly heinous drum fill, went "Alright Rodge" and walked out again. Hysterical.

*thinks* to throw in one of the truly unique "all round/multi instrumentalists" one would be a fool to fail to recognise the talent of one Alexander Doyle - classically trained and randomly learns instruments just to play em for a few bars on songs. Genius. Oh and cos I'm biased I'm tossing in my lovely, pure gorge Owen Clarke for similar reasons but he's also a beast on the dancefloor and will DJ with Paul for our aftershow
